Grow Sensor PRO won’t improve yield or quality by itself, it gives you the visibility to make the changes that do.
By measuring light, climate, plant response, and root zone conditions together at canopy level, you can spot constraints that basic room sensors miss. That usually leads to a more stable environment, clearer crop steering decisions, and more consistent runs.
In practice, growers tend to see the biggest gains from catching issues earlier, tightening VPD and irrigation strategy, and repeating what works with less guesswork.
If you want to sanity-check the economics, our ROI calculator lets you model payback based on your canopy size and crop value. The examples on that page use a 30% yield uplift scenario to illustrate the upside, but you can plug in your own conservative assumptions too.

For most grows, a simple rule works:
Environmental monitoring: 1 Grow Sensor per grow room, with a minimum of 1 per 600 sq ft (55 m²) of canopy.
Substrate monitoring: 1 substrate sensor per 100 sq ft (9.3 m²) of canopy or per irrigation zone.
Home growers typically use one per tent. You can run multiple sensors at different heights for extra resolution, but it’s optional.

No subscription is required to use Grow Sensor PRO or the mobile app. The app is free, and your data is stored indefinitely.
GrowOps is an optional paid desktop workspace for professional teams and larger operations, it adds collaboration and advanced workflows, and it runs on a subscription.

Yes. Every Grow Sensor PRO is tested and verified before shipping.
We test the assembled device end-to-end, not just the individual sensor components. Temperature and humidity are verified in a stable test chamber to confirm consistent readings under controlled conditions.
We also perform multi-point verification checks across key measurements, including temperature, humidity, PPFD and light spectrum. This helps confirm accuracy across a range, and catches outliers, drift, or assembly issues before dispatch.
Full accuracy specifications are listed on the product page. If you need documentation for compliance or internal QA, we can provide the calibration and test certificates for the sensors used inside Grow Sensor PRO on request.
Who owns my data and how secure is it?

You own your data, full stop.
We store it so the app can show your history, graphs, and alerts, but we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
From a security standpoint, we treat Grow Sensor data like any other customer account data:
- Encrypted in transit: data is sent over an encrypted connection when your sensor syncs.
- Encrypted at rest: stored data is encrypted on our servers.
- Account-based access: your grow data is tied to your account and isn’t publicly visible.
- You control sharing: if you choose to share screenshots, exports, or give access to someone else, that’s your decision.
If you ever want a copy of your data for your own systems, you can export it via our API (and more export options are on the roadmap).

Yes.
Right now, Grow Sensor works with Home Assistant, so you can use Grow Sensor readings to trigger automations in your grow (fans, dehumidifiers, heaters, CO₂, lighting, alerts, and more), using the devices you already run through HA.
If you’re building your own system, you can also access Grow Sensor data via our API, which lets you pipe readings into dashboards, controllers, or custom automation logic.
We’re also actively expanding native integrations. We plan to support more third-party control platforms, and we’re developing our own irrigation controller, which is coming soon.
Can I export my data or access it via API?

Yes. You can access your Grow Sensor data via our API, which makes it easy to export readings into your own dashboards, spreadsheets, or automations.
The API is ideal if you want to:
- pull historical or live sensor data into tools like Grafana, Home Assistant, or your own app
- run your own analysis across multiple runs
- build alerts, reporting, or custom workflows
API access is available on request at the moment. Email support@growsensor.co and tell us what you want to build, we’ll send the docs and help you get set up.
If you don’t code, you can still export data, just contact us and we’ll point you to the simplest option for your setup.

For smaller facilities, we provide guided setup, configuration support, and best-practice recommendations to help you deploy sensors effectively from day one.
For larger operations, we can provide structured onboarding, deployment planning, and direct support during installation. On-site setup and consultation are available for an additional fee.
